Here were the insperations (from articles in the little girls bedroom). The mom wanted the lion just as is, but the elephant was to be made in the print of the hippo FUN....

Elephant was a chocolate cake with white chocolate icing (dyed green)
Lion was lemon cupcakes with lemon whipcream icing
